Meeting Time/Location Difficult

I wish VERY much that I could join y'all at the meetings, but I work until very late most days of the week (~7pm) and take public transportation in the Decatur area.

Is there a way I can participate that doesn't involve renting a car and leaving early in order to get to Alpharetta by 7:30 on Tuesday nights?

Workshops

I'm just catching up on some old posts and found this one. I like Mal's idea of workshops independent of the monthly meetings. Currently, the Alpharetta location is extremely convenient for me, but I understand the issues of people traveling from ITP. I'm happy to volunteer to assist anyone who can make it to the North Springs MARTA Station or the Park and Ride lot at Mansell and 400.

My View on Venue Change

I'm presently evaluating the idea of setting up Drupal workshops independently of the monthly meetings. These would be hands on workshops (no presentation), where people work on a specific group project, or bring their own Drupal projects along, and ask questions of one another.

The main criteria for deciding this is interest, and availability of a venue.

I'd like to see the venue rotate to different locations throughout the Metro area.

I've gotten a few inquiries by email for this kind of thing. If anyone else is interested, pls signify by posting a comment here...

I'd like to second a change in venue

It's hard for people who work inside the perimeter to make meetings in Alpharetta at 7:30. Traffic that way is nightmarish at that time of day. Even if the meetings weren't ITP all the time, it'd be nice to have ITP meetings in a venue rotation.

Unfortunately, you're in a tough spot. I can't think of a way you can attend a meeting while working. :-)

The only option I can think of at the moment, would be to take Marta up to the North Springs station and arrange with one of the other members to pick you up from there. There is also a Marta Park and Ride at the Mansell Rd. exit, which is two exits south of Old Milton, or the Windward exit, which is one exit north of Old Milton.
